Abstract

This essays examines the project of a not achieved collection of Italo Calvino's autobiographical short stories, Passaggi obbligati, and especially the interesting La poubelle agréée (1977), that also presents an intense metatextuality and important aspects for the work of Calvino and for the twentieth-century literary experience.
