Abstract
I was among the first graduated from the Course in Psychology set up at the University of Padova in the academic year 1971/1972, one of the only two Courses at that time, the other being that in Rome. In my short commentary I try to convey my understanding of, and feelings about, the Course; my quite positive experience as a student is spite of the hectic start; the wider context, both academic and societal, within which the Course evolved.
