Abstract

In Work, Organization, and Personnel Psychology (WOP), we have been witnessing an increasing of academic texts within the so-called critical perspectives. In the absence of a detailed reading of this research perspective in Italy, the present paper aims at proposing an overview of critical perspectives in WOP to emphasise their potential contribution for WOP as an applied discipline. The paper begins with a disambiguation of the term critical perspectives. It continues by tracing concepts, themes and theoretical-methodological implications of the critical perspectives in WOP. The article concludes with a brief commentary on critical perspectives to illustrate their potential contribution to WOP in Italy.
