Abstract
The present study has developed and standardized a new battery of verbal and non verbal recognition memory tests. The battery comprises 3 tests: words, unfamiliar faces and unknown buildings. A sample of 308 Italian healthy subjects of both genders was tested (age range 20-80 years, education range 5-19 years). Normally distributed scores were obtained for all three tests. The three tests are graded in difficulty and matched for difficulty. This battery allows identifying both global and selective memory impairments.
