Abstract

This paper focuses on children-robot interaction from the point of view of educational robotics. It proposes a new enactive robot assisted didactics approach, which applies the methodology of using the physical expressiveness 179 of humanoid robots to a wider educational context by combining the enactive, participatory didactics approach with social robotic technology. It is proposed that this integration of social robots in education could help to increase the interconnectivity of the learning process by ascribing to robots a mediator function that strengthens the communication between teacher and children.
