Abstract
The article addresses the key issues of Alessandra Pescarolo’s book, highlighting its original methodological approach and its epistemic advantages. The essay underlines the author’s interdisciplinary perspective, which focuses on the ideological preconditions and historical genesis of the devaluation of women and their labor in the Italian context. As these reflections show, Pescarolo focuses on the ideology of domesticity as a precondition for the devaluation of women through what she calls the “long-term approachµ. The text underlines the path of deconstruction – in the link between past and present – of the “tenetµ of women’s productive marginality, highlighting the female demand for rights and emphasizing a conception of law as normativity that emerges from the activity of claiming
