Abstract
The current reform project is expressly aimed, upon Europe’s request, at reducing the lenght of court proceedings, which at this point has become intolerable. A necessary and unavoidable objective. Furthermore, to ensure a fairer justice system, our procedural system would just as urgently require maintenance from an epistemological viewpoint. This essay intends to examine one of its most serous and neglected weak spots: the absence of proper countermeasures to the frequent corruption of eyewitness memory.
