Abstract
The draft-legislation proposed by the former Minister of Justice Mr. Bonafede would affect both the composition and functioning of the High Council for the Judiciary with the goal of reducing its role. The amendments proposed by the Commission appointed by the current Minister of Justice Ms Cartabia change the perspective: more effective evaluation system of judges and prosecutors, limits in case of candidacy for member of Parliament and majors, new electoral system for judicial members of High Council for the Judiciary
