Abstract
Social protection policy is one of the most criticised competence of the European Union. Notwithstanding the fact that the majority of these judgments is inappropriate, the strive to foster the labour mobility trough out Europe is a field where the European Institutions should have had endeveaur more. The recent proposal of the European Commission on adequate minimum wages in the European Union tries to correct this condition from its foundations
