Abstract

The essay analyzes the American frontier as a legal order in its historical and conceptual evolution through Supreme Court jurisprudence. The frontier is one of the main metaphors used to describe the Internet, precisely because of its fluid nature as an ever-changing space. The most important rulings and the protection of constitutional freedoms in private spaces, from freedom of expression to freedom of demonstration, are then traced.
