Abstract
The essay analyses the deep credibility crisis of political parties in the age of digital democracy. Elective representation often passes by significant social intermediary role between institutions and citizens, through communication channels, towards activities carried out also (if not mainly) for propagandistic purposes. The changes in place within the framework of democratic representation and political parties, due to changed social and technological conditions of the present times, induce a reflection on the political parties' crisis and the new concept of democratic representation.
