Abstract
The paper arises from the idea of reflecting on the factual and juridical circumstances that have influenced the European integration process. The characteristics and effects of the main crises of the last decade are investigated, namely the economic-financial crisis of 2010-2011, the humanitarian crisis associated with migratory flows, with a nod to the emergency situation caused by the pandemic. The essay tries to reconstruct with an objective point of view the actions and objectives in which the vision of united Europe is identified, as understood in Brussels, to compare that vision to the visions of the Member States.
