Abstract
The present contribution aims at investigating the notion of "ius existentiae" within the Italian constitutional framework as determined not only by Article 38, para. 1, but also by articles 2 and 3, para. 2, of the Italian constitution - the cornerstones of all attempts of the Republic aimed at promoting the full development of the person and the respect for her dignity. In addition, this paper has the purpose of proposing a critical reconstruction of the interventions, which, during the last twenty years of Italian history, have attempted to establish measures for supporting personal income. Within this framework, it specifically focuses on the Social Inclusion Income introduced by the recent Legislative Decree n.147/2017.
