Abstract
Often an analysis of the legal norms is not sufficient to fully address the extent of the strategic use of courts and the politicization of religion. An interdisciplinary approach focused on the geopolitical implications of religious controversies can contribute to the debate on the fragmentation of fundamental rights and the current crisis of liberalism
