Abstract

Among countries with a high per capita income, the United States still stands out as the most religious one. The author therefore analyses American religiosity, particularly since the 1970s, when religion made its return to the public scene, and its relations with politics, highlighting the specificities and the influence of Evangelicalism and Catholicism in the American political framework.
