Abstract
The paper explores the proposed reform of the matrimonial law in England and Wales. After an introduction to the laws in force, the article takes into consideration the issues posed by the ongoing system and the proposed reform by the Law Commission in the 2020 Consultative Paper. Finally, the A. tries to point out some vices and virtues of the reform in the light of the British multicultural society.
