Abstract

The present paper analyzes the relationship between religion and migrations, starting from the assumption that the religious factor represents a constant presence in migration processes, affecting the ability to assist them by mitigating the traumas of leaving the places of origin and of settling in a new reality. In this context, religious freedom is not only an individual right, a personal element, but also includes freedom of worship and aggregation, since a network of activities is created around religious communities which supports immigrants in the process of adaptation and integration into the welcoming society.
