Abstract

As the research problem it is questioned in which lengths Islamic feminism could become a topos, a commonplace idea inserted on the international women’s rights agenda. The hypothesis suggests the possibility of balancing Muslim demands on female rights with Western theories, through the comprehension of multiculturality and the acceptance of ideas’ migrations. Resorting to bibliographical methodology and avoiding orientalist pre-constructions, the main aim is to unite the concept of multiculturalism to the ideas of topos and cultural migration, verifying the possibility of reaching a commonplace through a diatopical hermeneutics between feminist theories and Muslim beliefs in Western societies
