Abstract
The European Union’s final draft for the Artificial Intelligence Regulation (AIA) marks a significant step in governing the ethical dimension of AI application. Starting from a general overview of EU’s policy in AI regulation and its objectives and confronting this experience with the Chinese and USA approaches, this paper aims to examine the treatment of the religious factor within the AI Act, also comparing it with the handling of sensitive religious data in the GDPR.
