Abstract
This paper addresses the complex relation between woman's rights a the use of some garments referable to Islam, in particular the burqa a the niqab, in the common space of European societies. In particular analyses, in a critical perspective, the main arguments in favor of a tot ban of those garments in the name of protecting women's rights.
