Abstract
The article analyses the provisions on religious harassment in Italy and in the UK, within the framework of EU non-discrimination law. The core question is to determine whether and when some conducts, which are expressions of religious beliefs or free speeches, could be regarded as prohibited harassment. National legislation and the courts should balance the conflicting rights to freedom of expression and to be free from harassment; however, this problematic issue has not been addressed significantly and the implementation of this rule is still «in limbo».
