Abstract
This paper argues about the role of religion in the US electoral campaign for the Presidential election 2016. In particular, starting from the data of the Pew Research Center on the role of religion in the President electoral campaign, the paper tries to understand how the different religious groups of the US society could interpret the program and declarations of the two 2016 candidates, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, in the light of the deep transformation of the Western society as a whole.
