Abstract
Considering the complexity of the relationship «sacrament/law», this paper focuses on the marriage binomial «contract/sacrament» to broaden the juridical definition of marriage than developed in 20th century systematic models based on legislative studies. This approach brings to light features of the comparative methods that were previously overshadowed, and points to suggestive implications drawn from the most recent Magisterium.
