Abstract
Since the XIX century women in the Anglican tradition has taken a leading role not only in the traditional role of mothers and wives, but in the active government of the Church. Moreover, now women priests are almost a rule in the Anglican Churches instead women bishops are on the rise also in the Church of England. This paper provides an overview of the position of women in the Anglican perspective, especially in the Church of England.
