Abstract
The right to try to convince one’s neighbor is a primary element of the freedom to manifest one’s religion or belief protected by art. 9 of the European Convention on Human Rights. Even in the age of security, the central role of human dignity determines that this right can be balanced only with respect for the rights and freedoms of others.
