Abstract
The essay provides an overview of the positions of major non-Catholic Christian denominations about the moral and juridical issue of capital punishment. A brief introduction aims at explaining research limitations and the criteria followed in the work; then the essay deals with the matter as follows: Anglican Communion, Orthodox Churches, Coptic Churches, Adventist Church, Pentecostal Church and Jehova’s Witnesses.
