Abstract
Cinema and Religion had a difficult, yet fruitful relationship, as both engage widely with people, and both may spiritually elevate the attendant. In 125 years, this relationship evolved from mutual exploitation to mutual knowledge, passing through moralism, censorship and authorial freedom.
