Abstract

In the first part of the essay the author describes his first encounter with the book Contrattazione e partecipazione when he was a student at the University of Bologna and then recall an episode relatively unknown of the biography of Umberto Romagnoli. In the second part describes the difficult and contrasted itinerary of the workers participation in the management of the companies in Italy and stress the important role of the collective bargaining to support the participation.
