Abstract
The legal notion of organisations the ethos of which is based on religion or belief is critically analysed by the Author within the international and European legal framework; then, he focuses on and underlines the controversial effects coming up from the peculiar nature of these bodies and proposes some remarks on identities and differences in a pluralist society.
