Abstract
The author analyzes a number of films which, since the beginning of XX century, have shown the world of labour. The research stresses the attention with which cinema has always followed the evolution of labour and of the problems of workers. The mentioned movies - Italian, European and American - have told, over decays, the fights of manual workers - within and outside factories - the dramas of people fired, of those unemployed and of s.c. outsiders.
