Abstract

The most recent legislation about labour market - the delegation Act n. 30/2003 and the following Decree n. 276/2003 - contains a wide section dealing with three different types of apprenticeship contracts, one of which is the s.c. professional training apprenticeship, possibly the most important one. The norms of the Decree provide for an important role of regional legislation, also as a consequence of the recent Constitutional reform (Constitutional Act n. 3 of 2001): according to the new art. 117 the professional training is exclusive competence of the Regions. But the contract of employment remains in the exclusive competence of State legislation, and the apprenticeship contract mixes the two, therefore many problems remains to be solved. The Regions has began to regulate as of their competence, and the Author takes into consideration some of these pieces of legislation to individuate the possible different typologies and to stress the questions still to be tackled.
