Abstract
The author analyses the implementation of Directive 96/71 CE on posting of workers in the frame of a transnational contract of services, particularly with reference to the Italian experience. The essay stresses the uncertainties of EC legislation, mainly on the ground of ECJ case law. The author identifies then he difficulties of interpretation of the relevant Italian legislation, and concludes underlying the need to review the whole discipline in order to offer elements of certainty to legal theorists and practitioners.
