Abstract
The author analyzes the new rules enacted by the most recent legislation (Act n. 247/2007) on the ground of the Social Protocol signed by the social partners and the former Government in July 2007. Particular attention is paid to the clauses which allow modifications in working time and to the different legal possibilities to shift from part time to full time and viceversa. The abrogation of the general provision of "intermittent employment" and the possibility of similar discontinuous contracts only in particular sectors, are also dealt with.
