Abstract
The public pensions reform has never been completed: the legislator's interventions during the last years make unclear the objectives itself of the reform. The overall picture asks, therefore, for a re-consideration of a few important characteristics of the pension system; this is particularly true as regards the relationship to be envisaged between the public pensions system and the occupational schemes.
