Abstract
The most recent legislation has deeply modified the working time rules moving the boundaries between employers' prerogatives and the consent of the employee. The author underlines that phenomena like the wide power to modify the arrangement of working time and contractual models missing a precise notion of working time constitute an heavy limitation to the possibility of conciliation of employment and personal life. The future legislator should pay a deeper attention, the author auspices, to the issue of conciliation by a proper balance of the different interests.
