Abstract
The essay first regards the phenomenon of "double presence" as a main factor of instability of women's occupation and underlines the need to adopt legal strategies turned to incentive the sharing of the Work- Care. In order to do this, "fractionated" maternity and paternity leaves are regarded as a tool by which increasing the sharing in family responsibilities. The Author suggests some interpretative solutions which should allow to avoid the applicative problems which, actually, prevent their diffusion. The last part of the essay critically analyzes the recent EU directive about parental leave with particularly regard to modifications of sharing and transferability of parental leave.
