Abstract
This article seeks to highlight the features of social dumping and the connected issues, by considering the fields that denounce this phenomenon. Social dumping results from the regulatory gaps among different national regimes. In the different institutional contexts, legal interventions have varied from attempts of levelling regulatory differences by harmonization procedures to regime competition legitimacy in order to protect economic freedom. Social dumping is most of all an indicator of imbalances that benefit commerce and market values and give rise to the question of the role of alternative instruments of communication between commercial norms and social norms other than social clauses.
