Abstract
The author addresses the issue of wage, taking into consideration some recent events that focus on the structure of collective bargaining. The recent multi-sectoral agreements, which seem to strengthens the role of decentralized bargaining, and the reform of the employment in the public administrations have been considered. Finally, the author examines the new functions of wage alongside the settlement which the contract of employment is recently subject to, recalling the "though of Ancients".
