Abstract
The essay analyses some of the most significant problems in our industrial relation system, after the agreement of 28 June 2011 and the intervention of art. 8, Act n. 148/2011. In particular, it focuses on: employees' representatives within the firm; consultation rights related to plant level agreements efficacy; restrictions introduced to collective actions; collective bargaining decentralization. Therefore on those themes, that involve the balance between firms' competitiveness and industrial democracy, it seems to be crucial a new regulatory intervention, because of the inadequacy of the current negotiated rules.
