Abstract
The Author analyzes the crisis of the contract of employment, the growth of self-employment and the main reason (social and economic chance) for a such conversion. The self-employed worker is engaged under a contract for service; the consequences for the worker include: lack of job security, lack of income security, award entitlements do not apply, other benefits associated with employment do not apply. It is necessary an express modification of law concepts in order to award some entitlements to self-employment. The Author underlines the projects for a new legislative categorisation.
