Abstract
The Author analyses the evolution of the models of social protection in the hypothesis of redundancies in the public administration sector. The object of the paper is that of determining if this evolution could be regarded as the expression either of a progressive improvement of the instruments used for the management of redundancies or of a diffused resistance in abandoning provisions deeply rooted in the culture of the public administrations and of the public servants.
