Abstract
The Author traces a sketch of the intellectual life of Gino Giugni, the founder, together with his early friend Federico Mancini, of contemporary Italian labour law. His contribution to the development of legal doctrine, of legislation and of actual industrial relations is stressed in connection with his political engagement. From his early studies in Us - during which he first met Mancini, the origin of a long life friendship which Romagnoli warmly reminds - to the most recent appointments as Minister of Labour and Chairman of the Commission of guarantee for strikes in essential services, the still going route of Gino Giugni is narrate in the light of an affectionate friendship.
