Abstract
The paper is about a peculiar hypothesis of contract compliance started by the Roma town council. The clause is geared to the fulfilment of the objectives of Act n. 125 of 1991 on equal opportunities between women and men. The clause demands to those firms that take part to a tender a report on the staff situation under a gender point of view. The analysis has the objective of evaluating their compatibility with domestic and community laws. It also outlines a possible future development of these clauses towards an increase of their effectiveness.
