Abstract

After having considered the path of the Ue legislation on the issue of social rights, the Author describes the rights of the Spanish constitution that concern labour law and social security. He underlines the great importance that the constitutional principles have had for the development of the Spanish labour law, while poor to this end has been the influence of Ue legislation. If a formal Ue constitution is believed to be unnecessary, however for the future the Author calls for the social rights already existing within the Ue legislation to be legally binding.
