Abstract
The Italian University is undergoing a process of reform of its organisation and the authors focuses on some issues regarding teaching methods. According to a model agreed at European level, curricula have been generally divided into two: a first one of three years (a sort of undergraduate course) leading to the "laurea", and a second one of two years (a post-graduate course) leading to the "laurea specialistica". The authors underlines the difficulties of innovating teaching methods mainly in the undergraduate courses being their purpose to allow at the same time an immediate access to labour market and, for some students, the continuation of high level studies in the post graduate courses. Some questions are particularly dealt with as regards Law faculties and Labour Law courses (an appendix gives detailed information about the usual Labour Law handbooks).
