Abstract

Taking up the analysis carried out in a number of essays on specific material areas (health, social assistance, education, vocational training and work, public housing), the contribution reflects on how the choices made by the Valle d’Aosta Region in relation to the protection of the main social rights and in relation to the compliance with the principle of substantive equality are, especially in some cases, influenced by the «special» status of the Region.
