Abstract
The paper examines the role of the third sector in welcoming immigrants and integrating them in the Province of Trento. In particular, it examines the provincial competences on the basis of which the various practices have developed, and the forms in which the loyal collaboration with the State has led to a radical reform of the reception approach, although legislation was unchanged.
