Abstract
This contribution aims to analyze the recent electoral round held in Calabria for the election of the Regional Council and of the President of Calabrian Government. In the light of the constitutional jurisprudence for the (dutiful) promotion of equal opportunities between women and men in the access to the elective positions, as well as the recent State Law 20/2016, which provides for the adoption of specific measures in this regard, the constitutionality of the Calabrian electoral law is doubted because it has not been adapted to the State principle law.
