Abstract

Living will, a tool hard to be introduced in Italy that, following the development of medicine and technology, is extremely important albeit problematic. The paper analyzes the journalistic account of the legislative process of the living will and the subsequent shift of focus on euthanasia in a wide span of time: from 2006 to 2014. It shows how the journalistic discourse is powerful in trying to rule the cultural change, that means to show different aspects, through games of visibility changing and using disguises with strong emotional impact terminology.
