Abstract
Public Engagement is a new approach of science communication and dissemination that marks a decisive change of perspective: communicating is no longer a complementary activity, but it becomes a part of the research process itself involving all the social actors and listening to their expectations and needs. Meanwhile, the scenario of media is deeply changed thanks to the digital revolution. For research organizations new media are now direct channels to reach and involve referring audiences. Here are some successful cases: two facebook pages, INAF and Smartfood - IEO, and FRidA ("Forum della Ricerca di Ateneo)", the web platform where researchers of University of Turin communicate their work.
